The Fireman

The Fireman was created for a New Mexico Firefighter who commissioned a net for fishing the famed San Juan River. The butt of the handle is spectacular curly Ash rescued from a firewood lot by a friend of mine. It is separated from the figured walnut handle by a thin .022" strip of dark Wenge wood. The trio are held together by a Maple wedged Walnut dowel for strength. I included a few pics to show how the wedged dowel was used. I used red paracord on the lanyard to signify the clients public service.
