Stone-Fly

This net is the third commission for Mr. Kirk Deeter who partnered up with his Fly Talk blogging partner Tim Ramano. This net is a gift to another online editor for Field & Stream.com It began with an innocuous piece of cherry which I suspected would make a great handle. The mayfly was engraved by hand, then inlaid in stone; In this case, Chrysocolla was used to make both the may fly and the inscriptions. Hence the name, Stone-Fly. Curly Maple and a very thin piece of Wenge round out the woods used.
